EDDS Stuttgart Airport - Important Information (ATC: hkEDDS)

Before taking off or landing at Stuttgart Airport, be sure to obtain charts and read the important information below.
Filing Flightplan

When filing a flightplan from Stuttgart Airport, please give ATC the following information:

  • Destination ICAO code / Requesting pattern
  • Cruising Altitude (5000ft if pattern)
  • IFR/VFR
  • Planned route and SID (if any)
  • Any other information (eg. requiring vectors)

Please be reminded that all northbound traffic should have an even number flightlevel. All southbound traffic should have an odd number flightlevel.

Recommended Routes

EDDS Pattern: Expect a missed approach procedure, TGO or STG departure from both runways. For fun, ILS training, VFR, or use of instruments.

EDDS -> EDDF: Expect ETASA departure from both runways. An easy and fast flight with completely controlled area by ATC

EDDS -> EBBR: A longer route that takes about 45 minutes.

EDDS -> VHHH: A long route to Hong Kong.
